Bio
Megan is an LPC, in the District of Columbia since 2016 an LPCC in California since March 2023 and LCMHC in North Carolina since October 2025.
Currently she has a private practice with Alma, which she has been building since 2023.
Megan’s passion is working with adults working to overcome relationship and family dysfunction. Megan works with the individual supporting them to have assertiveness skills, that will sharpen their voice when they feel drowned out. Megan supports clients to identify feelings, which help build data points to understand what they are needing. Once they have identified their feelings and the causes the client can move into action phase. Here the client’s life tends to change. Megan spends as much time as needed with the client and their readiness to change.

What I love about therapy and working with people:
I especially love addressing relationships with my clients. I am fascinated by the connections we make with one another — why some of them stick, why some of them burn up in flames. In a session with me, you can untangle your piece, from that of your partner/friend/family member/coworker and how to identify healthy boundaries to achieve the love and connection you desire. Depending on what you are ready for, we will embark on an explorative journey and through strength-based understanding, find and set boundaries. These boundaries will be clues to your identity. I always encourage understanding and self-forgiveness. No one is to blame for the way you are — most of the trauma you feel is generational and passed onto you from family history. Using trauma informed care methods, we will validate which survival techniques have been helpful, and which ones are no longer useful. In therapy, you can forgive yourself for some of your choices and create a new path for the authentic you to emerge!
